Market Harborough Removals & Moving Company

Market Harborough is one of the most active property markets in the county, with strong demand from buyers relocating out of both Leicester and Northampton. The town centre has a historic layout with some restricted access, and many of the surrounding villages require careful vehicle planning. We survey every Market Harborough move before the day to get the access, parking, and timing right from the start.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent company. Team arrived on time and quickly loaded two full van loads on what transpired to be the hottest day of the year, at 36C! Very clean and respectful of my belongings and both properties. Unloading was just as efficient and placed items/boxes where designated. Took good care of everything and all was done at a very competitive price. Would recommend to all, without hesitation.

Flexible Start Times to Suit Your Move

Completions in Market Harborough are often unpredictable, and moving day rarely starts exactly on time. For fixed-price removals, we plan your start time around when you actually need to leave, not a rigid slot. This is confirmed in advance so there are no grey areas on the day.

For hourly removals charged in half-hour increments, start times are flexible throughout the day. Early morning, midday, afternoon and evening are all available. There is no strict cut-off, and we work at a pace that is safe and efficient.

Your Dedicated Market Harborough Removal Team

We cover Market Harborough and across the LE16 postcode, including Great Bowden, Little Bowden, Foxton, Kibworth Harcourt, and Kibworth Beauchamp. For moves along the A6 and A508 corridors towards Northampton, we handle those regularly. Symington Way and the Springfield Road area are among the busiest residential locations we cover in the town.

We also move regularly from Market Harborough south into north Northamptonshire, including Desborough, Rothwell, and Kettering. If you are in a chain that crosses the county boundary, that is well within our service area. The survey accounts for both addresses regardless of which side of the border each one sits.

Furniture Dismantling and Reassembly

Furniture dismantling and reassembly is included in your move where needed. Our vehicles are equipped with the right tools, and beds, wardrobes and larger items are taken apart and rebuilt at the other end by the team.

If you know dismantling will be needed, let us know at the survey stage so we can plan the right team size and timings. There are a few things we cannot carry out, such as electrical disconnections or wall mounting. If you are unsure, ask at the survey and we will advise.

Optional Packing Services

Packing is usually the most time-consuming part of any house move. Our professional packing service is normally completed the day before your move. The team packs everything carefully, wraps fragile items, and labels each box by room. Full packing, part packing, and fragile-only packing are all available.

Packing materials are included in the packing service. After you have unpacked, we return to collect the boxes and packaging for reuse. Unpacking assistance is available at the new address if needed.

With Simply Moving handling the physical side of your Market Harborough move, you can focus on the legal and practical steps. We also offer storage if there is a gap between leaving your current property and getting into the new one.

Frequently asked questions

What areas of Market Harborough do you cover?

Do you offer fixed-price quotes for local moves?

Yes, both fixed-price and hourly options are available. Fixed-price suits most planned moves; hourly works better for smaller or more flexible jobs. We advise which fits your move at the survey stage.

How do I get a quote for a local removal?

You can request a quote via the survey form on our website, arrange a video survey, or book an in-person home survey. We visit both addresses before confirming a fixed-price quote.

Can you help with packing for a Market Harborough move?

Yes. Full packing, part packing, and fragile-only options are all available. Packing is normally carried out by the team the day before your move.

Are packing materials included?

Packing materials are included when you book a packing service. If you are packing yourself, materials are available to purchase separately.

Will you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Yes, furniture dismantling and reassembly is included where required as part of your move. Let us know at the survey stage if this will be needed.

How many movers will be on my move?

The number depends on the property size, access, and volume being moved. This is confirmed at the Market Harborough survey so you know what to expect before the day.

Can you work around key release times on moving day?

Yes. We plan Market Harborough moves around completion and key release times. Start times are discussed and confirmed in advance so there are no surprises on the day.

Are you insured during the move?

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible, particularly for Friday moves in spring and summer. We take provisional Market Harborough bookings and confirm on exchange.
