Storage Solutions
Storage is a great solution for home movers. We have stored items for many people for every reason; from moving home and wanting to have minimal amounts to move on the day – through to home renovations, summer storage for students, moving onto a narrow boat, travelling the world, or just because they have too much “stuff” in their life. Whatever the reason, there is a storage solution for you.
The main types of storage that we offer are, self-storage, container storage, and warehouse storage.
Self-storage
This option is great if you are looking to access your goods regularly. They will typically be in a large purpose built facility with a reception and staff on site. The hours they are open vary from place to place and this is worth thinking about if you require access early morning or late at night. Self-storage can be costly depending on the unit size you require but it is also a handy solution for short term storage.
Container storage
Containers are great for storing large quantities at a low cost. Typically these containers are on an industrial park or on a rural farm setting. Security varies by location and you should also check what provision the facility takes in regards to moisture and damp inside the container. Containers are generally either 10 foot or 20 foot in length and have a cubic capacity of up to 33.2 m3 / 1,172 cu ft.
Warehouse storage
This option takes the best parts of both the above options. Your goods are kept indoors in a warehouse and usually in wooden warehouse containers that are around 7.08 m3 / 250 cu ft. You can have as many as you require. The price is competitive, it’s dry and it’s secure. These will usually be managed by your removals company (such as us!) and there isn’t usually any public access and this aids both security and safety.
