Everything from a single treasured possession to a whole house of possessions can be shipped overseas, using our network of international partners. We have a full packing and unpacking services and our storage facilities can look after anything that doesn’t require immediate shipping.

Packing Services for international moves

We strongly advise you to use our packing service, especially if you’re moving abroad. If you’re packing up your home yourself, we suggest you make sure that everything is export-wrapped and fully protected for its overseas journey. Fragile and breakable goods need to withstand the bumps and wobbles of the road. Always bear in mind that customs authorities will need to know the contents of each box, so inventories need to be checked by our team prior to collection.

Packing your most treasured possessions as securely and efficiently as possible is key, whether you are moving from the UK to Europe or across the globe. Shared trucks, containers and partner companies can be used to reduce overheads or exclusive vehicles can be used depending on your budget & timeframe.

Our professional team are experts in packing services. They will fit your items as snugly and safely as possible into boxes and make an inventory of each box (you’ll need these for customs clearances). Tell us what you want and we will make it happen.

Small consignments can be delivered globally by airfreight. Larger, heavier items can go via road to anywhere within Europe. For destinations beyond Europe, we will organise shipping by sea.

Since Brexit, we have to clear customs when delivering your things to you on the continent which wasn’t an issue pre-Brexit. What does it all mean?

Airfreight – This is the fastest option and ideal for small items and those that are required urgently.

Air Waybill (AWB) – The air waybill is a non-negotiable document that a carrier issues when goods are transported by air, and it accompanies the shipment of goods. It provides detailed information about the goods and allows the involved parties to track the shipment. Each party involved in the process gets copies of the bill.

Consignee – The consignee is the recipient, either a person or company, who bought and expects specific goods.

Consolidation –Consolidation happens when shipments from various suppliers and locations are merged into one single shipment to save on costs.

Container – Shipping containers are steel structures made for transporting freight to another destination. This is a service where you have the sole use of a container. The container can be loaded and sealed at your collection address and normally delivered direct to your door overseas.

Customs clearance – The customs clearance process happens before the goods are imported into a country and go through customs.

Deep Sea – This is the most cost effective and popular method. Containers are loaded onto a ship whose destination is the nearest port to your chosen delivery address.

Export Declaration – The export documentation is the form filled for the exported goods that is handed to the port or other customs authorities.

Groupage – This is where a group of smaller shipments going to the same destination share the space. If you have a smaller consignment, this is the most economical option. We can offer regular groupage services to all the most popular overseas destinations.

Marine transport – We are talking about marine transport when the shipments are delivered by sea.

Packing – the process of packing everything into transport cartons for safe shipping or wrapping in protective packing materials.

Storage – Storage is the location, or warehouse, where products are stored.

Unpacking – the opposite of packing, everything is unpacked, placed where you want it and the packing materials are removed by our team.
